If you never got the chance to experience elBulli and you are in London, you have a great opportunity now. Until the 29th of September you can see the world's first exhibition about a chef and a restaurant "elBulli: Ferran Adria and the Art of food", at Somerset House.

The exhibition is a journey through the history of elBulli since its opening in 1965 -way before Ferran Adria and Juli Soler came into the scene- until the last day of the legendary restaurant. The exhibition is supported with great multimedia material such as menus, custom cutlery and serve-ware and all sort of pictures and videos. Specially good is the video shown at the entrance, which shows the kitchen when the last dessert of the history of elBulli is being served. There is also an interesting section where all the molecular gastronomy techniques and concepts are shown in a very clear way, a drawing of Ferran Adria as a character of The Simpsons and a table with chairs from the restaurant facing a video projection to give the feel of having dinner at elBulli.

Definitely a nice chance to have a close contact with what was the most influential restaurant and chef in the last 2 decades! The exhibition is open daily from 10:00 to 18:00, and the cost is £10, and £5 on Mondays. You can also watch the video from The Guardian below.
